A geomarketing tool has been developed for Iveco to assist them in their review of dealerships in southern Africa. The tool enables information on Iveco dealerships in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana to be viewed. Information is also provided on all their competitors in the South Africa. Africascope assisted in Iveco in defining their Dealership Areas of Responsibility (DAR) and integrated volume sales data for their vehciles and that of their competitors into the system. The volume data for Man, Mercedes, Scania, UD Trucks and VW was incorporated into the system. The project also ensured that the most accurate spatial data for Licensing Districts in southern Africa were developed. The final geomarketing tool was provided in a Google Earth format as it allows the easiest visualization of the data and has the added benefit of viewing all the Iveco dealerships in Street View.
