It is not well known, that many African countries have had their road and street data captured. This data has been captured for use in navigational Global Positioning Systems (GPS). AfricaScope in partnership with companies like MapIT now provide access to this information for countries across Africa. The data includes administrative boundaries, roads, water resources, rivers, topography, conservation area, land use, place boundaries, railways and places of interest.
